The porcelain plate set from Kay Bojesen contains a dinner plate of 27 cm, a lunch/dessert plate of 22 cm and a deep plate. All three pieces can of course be used for what their names suggest, but are equally suitable as serving dishes and a small serving bowl.

The design of all three plates is taken from Kay Bojesen’s silver catalogue, where they were originally intended for completely different functions, and all were made of the much more expensive material; silver. Just as the design of the deep plate is based on a silver salt cellar, by enlarging the salt cellar four times and changing the material, it can now be used for several purposes, such as a soup plate or a small salad bowl.
