The Cake Server was a staple at Sunday tea at Erna and Kay Bojesen’s Bellavista apartment. The cake was passed around among friends such as architect Magnus Steffensen, furniture designer Finn Juhl, and scene painter Svend Johansen. After a good walk in the park, the party returned to a well-spread tea table, in the early years with Kay’s Grand Prix silverware. Besides the indispensable cake server, the setting included cake forks, cream, tea and coffee spoons. The Cake Server was recreated in the 1950s in stainless steel.
