Here, in the early 2020s, contemporary table setting is looking over its shoulder. Many traditional mid-20th-century table setting elements are finding their way back to the table. A typical 1950s element was personal items for each place setting: salt cellar and spoon sets, napkin rings or the now rather obsolete personal ashtray.
Kay Bojesen’s smallest WING dish is perfect for this trend. Place the small dishes next to each place setting and fill them with quality olive oil, bread or snacks. Or give the slim Grand Prix butter knife its own porcelain rest.
