You can get the plates in three different sizes – a large dinner plate, a traditional dinner plate and a smaller lunch plate. In 2020 a deep plate / bowl was added to the KAY series. The KAY series includes different dishes and bowls. The series go perfectly with the world-famous Grand Prix cutlery.

The KAY series originate from the Kay Bojesen works in silver, and consists of plates, dishes and bowls in white porcelain. The KAY series is hand-dipped in a thick white glaze, which contributes to a tight and functional look, but is at the same time gives it a warm and obliging feeling.
You can get the plates in three different sizes. They are durable, easy to pile and fits at the dinner table both at weekdays and celebrations.
The dinner plate measures 27 cm in diameter and fits onto any dining table. The plate is simple, light weight and presents the food with elegance and style.
The lunch plate is a smaller version of the dinnerplate. It has the same recognizable silhouette and glazing as the rest of the KAY series. The lunchplate measures 22 cm in diameter and is easy to pile.
The larger dinnerplate measures 29 cm in diameter and is perfekt for the unique and exclusive dining table. This plate can also be used as a dish for cake, tomato salad or other servings.
A deep plate / bowl from the KAY series will be launched in 2020. The bowl is, like the rest of the KAY series a translation of Kay Bojesen’s original designs in silver. The bowl is perfect at dinner for soup or salad, or for breakfast servings.
Kay Bojesen’s mantra was that good design is something that everyone is entitled to. One of his focal points was to design articles that would make life easier. He did this by designing aesthetic crafts without compromising on functionality. The KAY series is truly living up to this mantra.
The plates can go in the dishwasher and are lightweight, durable and easy to stack.
We wish to bring Kay Bojesen’s design heritage into the present by relaunching some of his silver designs in more contemporary materials.
With hundreds of Kay Bojesen’s silver designs to choose from, it was difficult to decide which ones to pick out and relaunch. We have been trawling the archives numerous times and many different ideas have been considered. Finally, a few pieces were picked out and the KAY-series in handcrafted porcelain was born.
The series is named KAY after its original designer and mastermind Kay Bojesen. With the Kay-series, we wish to live by Kay Bojesen’s mantra by offering great design to everyone.
